Innovative Composites are building a widebody kit for the E and have told Motor1 they want to build just a limited number although its availability and price were not yet announced.

Certainly changes the look , but it doesn't make it any faster so 'I'm out'.

A factory body kit to 'accent' the look might be acceptable, but this is far too out there without any performance gains.

I can understand doing this for a static promotional reason on a written off car, otherwise it’s either financial suicide or willy waving.

A good point, made very diplomatically!

This styling made perfect sense in the 80's with the wide bodied DTM touring cars and group B rally cars.
Just look at the 6R4 which was a 400+ bhp V6 based on a 60hp straight 4 cylinder engine.

I just can't see anyone ripping out the Honda e drivetrain and replacing it with a 1006bhp Tesla Model S Plaid system.

I think it looks ace. I'd be hesitant to do the same to mine but I'd definitely want to take one for a spin.
