If the Honda E wasn't available what other car would you choose?

The place to discuss everything else..

As we sit here waiting for some (any) information from the dealers, I'd be interested to hear what your second choice car would be (electric or otherwise).

I think for me it would probably be the Peugeot e-208. Very similar price for the top of the range vehicle but with a 50KWh battery.

I'd probably look at a Leaf 62, only a grand more and you get 220 miles range. Or maybe a new model e-Niro/Kona.

Well that's assuming I wanted new, right now I'd probably get a used Leaf 24/30 and live with that for a bit.

I had deposits on the Honda e, e208 and VW ID3
I test drove the e208. Nice. But not for me. I used to drive a Mini JCW, which I sold. I have also driven the Mini E. Decided it was too similar to my Mini.
So I’m still for the e or ID3. The e is ahead. It exactly meets my needs, price point and looks fab

In my case: new Smart for2
If money and size are no issues: Polestar 2 or Porsche Taycan 4S

I have driven the Leaf Mk2, is it 40kWh battery version. We thought a bit meh! Wasn’t sufficient quality. Also eNero. But again v plasticy inside and far too big for our needs
I agree, MNO it would be a Taycan or Polestar 2 or wait for the Tesla Roadster? 😊

1. BMW i3 (used)
2. VW iD3
3. Mazda MX-30 (would be #1 if rear wheel drive)

1 and 2 for driving style, 3 for great looks.

For me would be the ID3 but the more I see it the less I like it. I wanted also the Ioniq but it is big for me.

I think I would wait for the new HR-V Hybrid (or Electric?) that will come next year or a new Civic, because in the Netherlands you now get a 8000(!) euro discount on that. Or... maybe the Mazda MX-30, cause they make beautiful cars nowadays.

I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned a Tesla, of which I am seriously considering a model 3.
I had a deposit on the first batch of MG ZS EV, but after a test drive, I declined to progress with a purchase because it was too flawed.
As others I've also got a deposit on an ID3, but that's too plain inside with an almost standard ICE interior, also it's remoured to be lacking some features on the First edition.
Currently I'm eaking out the limited life of my 17 year old Mini Cooper S for my daily commute.

"I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned a Tesla, of which I am seriously considering a model 3." For me that has everything to do with the founder of Tesla. The technology and software are the best at Tesla, is beyond dispute. :geek:
