It’s entirety possible to delete a Facebook account. There are plenty of reasons to dislike Facebook, but is is not true that accounts can’t be deleted.
Thank you! I've just checked and I have now deleted my account. When I tried a few years ago I couldn't fine a way of deleting it.
I guess it might be something added within the past five years or so. Either GDPR or the right to be forgotten under EU legislation. I recall Facebook being slightly miffed with both...
