I saw that, but we'll see if charging networks will actually partner with them. Until then it's just anóther addition to an already long list.
In the end all we need is just contactless payments, and no need for apps.

What subscription? Zapmap site states there is no subscription.

Pretty sure I had to sign up with Zapmap just to be able to use their app, but I may be wrong.

Ah, I thought you were meaning there was a subscription fee, my mistake.

You register to use zapmap fully but it is free.

If this system saves you having to have x number of other apps or rfid cards surely that's a good thing isn't it?

Yes, but don’t assume it will always be a free service. I’m assuming this is their plan to monetise their business, but if subs from the various providers aren’t forthcoming, then I could sell imagine this becoming a premium service.
