As of today UK grant is now £2500 on cars upto £35000.

Call me cynical do you think Tesla will magically drop the price of the model 3 as they managed to do elsewhere?
EV grant lowered
Honda increased the price of the E a short time ago by £500 and now a £500 reduction in EV grant.
I suppose suppose the compensation is that there are more discounts available but unfortunately there is more competition I.e. VW ID.3

Don't forget the additional £50 for paint if you're not buying Charge Yellow.
The OTR price for a Crystal Black Pearl was originally £29160, now it's £30710 (additional £500 purchase price + £1000 reduction in PICG + £50 paint increase).
Naughty Honda haven't updated their website for reduced PICG, though it does state in the small print:
OLEV reserve the right to alter or withdraw the Plug-in Car Grant at any time.

Ah, that explains this:
It’s quite ballsy of them the keep cranking up the OTR price for what was always an overpriced car to start with.
EDIT: Woah! I just noticed the other part of this, that the grant has gone entirely for vehicles over £35k. That’s a boat load of new mid-sized EV that suddenly got £3k more expensive e.g. e-Niro, Kona, Leaf, ID.3, ID.4, Ioniq 5, EV6, Model 3, Enyaq iV, etc.
But sure, the government is definitely wanting to encourage EV ownership.
I wonder did Honda actually ever sell any Standard models at the original £26,160 ?It’s quite ballsy of them the keep cranking up the OTR price for what was always an overpriced car to start with.

To date I don't believe that they have delivered any official Standard models to UK owners. The only one I'm aware of is the grey import that https://www.voltagehire.com/rates have available for hire.rickwookie wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 4:30 pm Ah, that explains this:

So that’s an OTR hike of £1500 before it’s even been made available.londiniumperson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 4:41 pmTo date I don't believe that they have delivered any official Standard models to UK owners. Wait, when did they hike the price ANOTHER £550?!
That’s a £2055 hike since originally sold and it means the Standard model that afaik has never sold in the UK is now only £445 less than the original Advance price.

I don't see how make it a £2055 increase from the original advertised price, please can you explain, it's still only £1555 as far as I'm aware?rickwookie wrote: ↑Thu May 27, 2021 9:23 am Wait, when did they hike the price ANOTHER £550?!

Standard original price: £26.160
Standard current price: £28,215
28215 - 26160 = 2055
Advance original price: £28,660
Advance current price: £30,715
30715 - 28660 = 2055
Perhaps you’re forgetting you didn’t get the base option (yellow) and instead you opted for the £500 paint premium.

Ah!
Yes, I did forget that, so another £555 increase this year on top of the previous £500 increase and the 2 x £500 grant reductions.
Don't forget that the optional paint colours have also increased from the launch price of £500 to £550.
When I bought mine, I convinced myself that by buying from day 1 would mean that the depreciation would be offset in part by the reduction of the PICG, I didn't expect the price of the car to also increase.
This is good in a way for those of us that bought at the lower price, however on the flip side it might put off prospective new car buyers of the e with the availablity of other cheaper BEVs.
