It looks like new estate cars are becoming extinct.
Did you see the kia EV6, that was very similar to the Ioniq 5, but with a bigger boot & the Kia 7yr warranty?

EDIT - Boot space:
  • EV6 with Meridian audio - 480 litres
  • EV6 without Meridian audio - 490 litres
  • Ioniq 5 - 531 litres

I felt the EV6 more “traditional” than the Ioniq 5 which seems to use the EV platform better. But each to his/her own
I find the 5’s boot very large, & you have the flexibility to move the seats forward (electrically in my model’s case) to increase boot size.

It’s the available height in the boot that’s the problem for me. The load cover is set way down from the top of the seats (because of the extreme angle of the tailgate) and the boot floor it right up to the loading lip (which is already really high). Would it even take a full bag of shopping standing up?
Had a look at the EV6 too. Much prefer the 5 styling over the EV6 exterior, but actually proffered the interior of the EV6, but that maybe partly because for some reason Hyundai had used two base spec models on their stand.
