With the days becoming rainier (in the U.K.) I’m not enthusiastic about the amount of water I find in the charge port area but I’m not going to run out and order an official cover. Has anyone come up with a clever alternative of their own? :)

I'm in the UK & I've never had an issue with water collecting in the charge port over the past months.
I'd suggest that you check that the drain holes are clear if you're having issues.
How about posting a photo of yours next time it's full of water?

I decided to order an official cover. Ordered one from Cox Motor Parts via their website, they seem very efficient.

I see they're currently charging £89.25 (and free delivery) which is a bit more reasonable than the previous price I saw of £177.

Here's the link Cox Motor Parts.

Yea relatively speaking they’re reasonable. Next day FedEx delivery too, can’t complain. They have an eBay shop but there’s a tiny premium on there.

Let’s see if this thing is worth the money when it arrives.

Having had our open for most of the autumn (with all the leaves and rain that has brought) I've yet to see any water collect at all in ours. 🤷‍♂️

It wasn’t so much about water collecting, it was my lack of faith in any possible design flaw of the port and resulting water issues over long periods.

I’m a bit OCD I guess lol.
