What did you have to pay £39 for?
The invoice says My Honda+ Core Connectivity Service Electronically Supplied Services, £32.50 plus VAT, it’s an annual fee. It’s complimentary for the first named owner (me), second user (my wife) a charge of £39.
You mentioned previously you bought an ex-demo, so the Honda dealer would have been the first registered owner.
So the £39 is because you are the second owner, not your wife, she will be just an invited driver, of which you can have 5 per account at any one time.
Funny enough that's what I thought, and what I'd written, before I read something else that made me think it was because my wife was added, I edited my reply, wrongly as you correctly point out. Coincidentally I have literally just received an email from Honda about the refund, they've asked for all my details. I've now decided to stick with it, I'm hopeful it'll improve over time.🤞

Yeah, this.

My wife is the first owner, and she "invited" me, so I have (crippled) access to the app too. We haven't paid anything for it, and don't ever intend to either unless there's a major improvement in it. Even then...

The thought that anyone would fork out any money at all to use MyHonda+ is appalling. I have given up trying to use it in earnest. Mainly because it is of no use at all, when I am at home - it can never connect to my car, and when I am out and about, it is so slow and unreliable, my coffee gets cold, while I'm trying to get it to work.

There are so many better things to be doing.
Anyone think it might improve before the 8 years free expires?

Software development cycles are often longer and more cumbersome than users would hope (I work for a software company 😉). However, I am quite confident about future developments of the app. I'm more worried about the hardware side. Because I can't assess whether the connection problems are actually due to the app and the Honda server, or are caused by the TCU. The latter might not be as easy to fix as a software update.

Hi All,

Just like many i've been busy to get the app working since I got the Honda e Advanced early December. I have been in touch with the dutch Honda CS several times and they let me know they where busy working on improvements which should be availble this week. I was stuck at the car activation but last week I couldn't even log in.

I tried it again this morning from the start. Log in, get activation code, and then went through the VIN process etc. And it went super fast and got it connected now without hick ups. Even the app works very fast. Only thing what took a while was receiving the 4 digit code in the car. Send it a few times and suddenly received 4 notifications after 5 minutes and got it al working.

No subscription cost as well. Core connectivity FOC. Safety & Journey free for the first year. Only the honda personal assistant is €40,50 p/y from the start but who needs that?

No I must say that our mobile network etc is very good in the Netherlands, even in rural areas. I did connected the Honda wifi to my phone via hotspot. Not sure if this made a difference but it might.

I’m not seeing any improvement what do ever. Can’t remember the last time the app was able to get an update from the car without having to first go and turn the car on to “wake it up”.
