Hello guys, I've had my Honda for almost three months now, but only yesterday I noticed this loud mechanical "click" sound when changing from Drive to Park, I guess it can be totally normal, the driveshaft or something similar disengages, but I wanted to be sure you guys hear the same sound.
I've never noticed it before because it's not noticeable with windows closed, the car interior is extremely silent. Now with summer coming I've started driving with windows open, that's why I noticed I guess.

It's probably the actuator locking the transmission.

I’ve wondered about a similar thing when mine was new, but that was when going from park to reverse when heading out from my garage. Turns out my garage is particularly well suited for amplifying the loud “clack” sound of the door handles snapping back to the “in” position.
