Thank you!

How does the Android environment work? Is it possible to configure the system so that only apps approved by the third-party provider (here Honda) can be loaded?
As already requested by rickwookie: we need a hack! (...and the car)

I think nobody knows until we play with it. I think somebody who is an expert in these things would be able to allow that and create apps but I am not one of those :(
It might also void warranty so I don't know. Just hope.
I also hope that Honda keep making new apps and not abandon this.
From that site you can see that they are testing different apps for the Japanese market. Navitime is a navigation app famous in Japan but could be also a remote app as is written in Japanese.

Thanks Reuben! If you set the site on Dutch, we have only the aquarium. No Visual Playlist or Aha Radio. :?

That's how it often goes, the Dutch market is to small. Honda only sold about 1400 cars here last year. And if you compare that with previous years, that is even a record. In 1986 they sold over 14000 cars, after which it went downhill year by year, with a peak in 2009 of more than 10000 cars and that were mainly Civic's Hybrid because they had a tax advantage. Therefore Honda dealers are hardly here anymore and the dealers that are still exist they all have a extra brand, mine Hyundai for example.

How does Honda‘s Android System relate to the one in the new Polestar 2*.This looks great!
Does Honda uses the same system with a different front end or is Polestar‘s Android Automotive a different breed?

* have a look:

A few snaps from the list of installed apps on the car I sat in this morning:

Calculator?!

Is this the app that does all the clever birds-eye-view stuff?

Nice, that looks like a normal android :)
I just found that some Honda cars are already hacked.

Even on youtube you will find vidoes if you write honda hack app. But I would be too scared to try.

The manual does not say that there is a calculator app. First time I heard it. It can mean that they have apps hidden and there will be a way to show the hidden apps. I wish to know the full list of apps. Especially if there is any browser installed too.
