My Honda e Advance has a transparent plastic pipe hanging down behind the dashboard. To see it you have to look upwards from the pedals area, approx between the steering wheel and the centre console. The fixed end of the pipe is attached to what looks like some sort of sensor mounted high up behind the dashboard. The loose end is just hanging about, and looks as if it should be attached to something.
Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this.

That is supposed to be attached to the side of the heater box, did your car have any accessories fitted and the dealer has dislodged the pipe perhaps?

Many thanks for your reply. I will have a better look in that area. The pipe length looks about right. The car is an ex demo from dealership so anything could have happened.

I'd imagine that it's some form of drain from the evaporator matrix for the Aircon, either that or a drain for any wet air that comes in from the outside fresh air inlet?

As Man-e says, it should be connected to the side of the heater box (I assume that's what it is).

I,ve fixed it back in position thanks to your replies, and that great photo from Karl. Much appreciated.
It’s in an awkward place to get at and even when fixed, it seems to be just sampling the air at the blower unit. The fixed top end looks to go to a sensor, as there is wiring from it.
